Microwave
links are being used more frequently for
applications other than the traditional
uses within the security industry and we
are developing microwave links to be used
for far reaching tasks other than CCTV.
Within this year we have supplied a microwave
link for the Robin Reliant ‘Rocket’ on Top
Gear, built ‘Log Cams’ for covertly identifying
fly tippers by building a microwave link
inside a strategically placed log, placed
a microwave link inside a protected bird’s
nest and linked this to a tourist centre
and built a camera and microwave link on
a golf buggy to transmit a ‘hole in one’
game from a golf green to the clubhouse.
The broadcast industry is now turning to
us for a microwave
link for their camera transmission.
As outdoor evens are becoming more popular,
using our COFDM microwave link to assist
in the recording of these events is a smart
way to ensure the broadcast is of a sensational
quality. This year we have supplied a microwave
link to transmit pictures from a major yachting
race on the water back to the control centre
on shore; our microwave link has been used
in the major music festivals and a ‘micro’
microwave link has been used on salon cars
to record the race from the cockpit.
Our microwave
link has been used to video live pictures
from a camera on the helmet of a bungee
jumper as well as another expedition up
Everest with a microwave link sending video
and audio from the Sherpas’ helmets to base
camp four.
